North Shore Residence

Residence

This stunning residence utilized existing Tutor Home features and brought them into the 21st century by combining them with streamlined modern elements; creating a fun contemporary sanctuary of old meets new. Intricate moldings and luxe finishes adorn this exquisite 6,000 square foot transitional home, while black architectural glazing and large white volumes create the perfect balance of “Old & New” for this young family.

Light solid wood floors and white walls are the warm canvas for the bold black staircase and exposed ceiling beams to pop against. Continuing the transitional feel, a stunning black and white Hermès wallpaper adds a modern twist to the Tudor home. Floor to ceiling Nano Doors along the entire back of the Foyer bring the outside into the space. Jewel tones of Emerald Green and Sapphire Blue in the living wall and custom ottoman add rich color to the otherwise neutral space.

The Powder Room’s rich blue accent tile pops against the black and white cement tile floors. The custom concrete trough vanity adds an industrial element, while brass accents act as jewelry throughout.

The old meets new vibe continues in the open Living Room with the original ceiling beams and massive fireplace in black. Layered Moroccan area rugs create a plush feeling underfoot while the custom sectional’s accent pillows add bold bursts of color.

A cigar and whiskey lover, our clients wanted a space to unwind with friends, pour a cocktail and have a cigar. A rich blue jewel toned wallpaper highlights the custom millwork bar display with concealed uplighting to showcase the Brandy and liquor collection. Deep custom lounge chairs in white leather and a blackened steel I beam side table sit atop a grey cowhide area rug. The stone and blackened steel fireplace create a masculine backdrop for the custom black lacquer poker table and charcoal velvet brass chairs.
