Upper East Side Apartment

Our Upper East Side Alcove Studio gut renovation is nothing short of luxurious. The entire space is designed with a hospitality aesthetic; Inspired by the client’s favorite restaurant, Ai Fiori, located inside of the Langham Place Hotel on 5th Ave as well as her love for travel and hotel stays.

Upon entry into the apartment, Sapele Wood Veneer by Wolf Gordon clad the walls and ceiling creating a portal like a feel giving guests a warm hug. Cove lighting highlights a pearlescent faux finish above while book-matched polished Arabescatto Marble Porcelain brightens the space below. The Porcelain continues into the kitchen which is fully revamped with warm grey cabinetry, a herringbone marble backsplash, and sleek contemporary brass cabinet hardware.

Passing from the foyer into the living space, panoramic mirrors provide a tease of the experience that awaits; reflecting luxury finishes in every angle possible. The simple but elegant custom Seafoam Sofa dominates the living space while a stunning backdrop of shimmering gold-toned wallcovering by Mya Romanoff ground the antique mirrored coffee table that serves as home to an Alabaster cocktail tray- why, because detail matters. Hair-on-hide throw pillows speak to the wood veneer portal coloring seen from the Living Room.

Mood lighting throughout and a fully integrated electric fireplace, with recessed backlit television above, create a clean feature wall to help our client unwind before retreating to her spa-like master bath. Clad in marble and Onyx from floor to ceiling, the bathroom’s luxurious finishes deliver the hotel look our client desired. At the end of the night, only sweet dreams are possible in the alcove sleeping area clad in Sapele Wood Veneer and a custom cove-lit upholstered velvet headboard. Our client’s dream apartment now has all the look and feel of a high-end hotel with the comforts of home.
