Manhattan UES Townhouse

Residence

One of our most recent projects is a stunning two-story townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, designed to balance modern luxury with thoughtful functionality. From the moment you enter, the grand foyer stair — illuminated with subtle LED side lighting and dressed in a custom wool runner — sets the tone for the home’s refined style. Beneath the stair, built-in storage is seamlessly integrated, while black-framed ribbed glass doors conceal additional rollout storage, offering both beauty and practicality.

With soaring sixteen-foot ceilings and expansive architectural volumes, lighting and storage were central to the design vision. Custom floor-to-ceiling storage solutions and sculptural chandeliers were thoughtfully installed throughout the home, creating layers of light and maximizing functionality. Expansive windows and doors leading to a private patio flood the open-plan living room, dining room, and kitchen with natural light, enhancing the airy, welcoming atmosphere. A luxurious mohair sectional and custom black and brass metal coffee table anchors the living space atop a plush wool rug, offering a comfortable yet elevated gathering spot for the family.

The dining area features a hand-selected wood slab table imported from Bali, paired with stunning upholstered chairs with hammered metal legs. Above, a dramatic installation of sixty glass orbs suspended from a brass base creates a stunning focal point. In the kitchen, floor-to-ceiling millwork conceals all appliances to achieve a clean, dramatic aesthetic, while custom bar shelving artfully displays the family’s glassware and curated sculptures.

All bedrooms are located on the second floor, including three guest suites with en suite baths and a luxurious primary suite with a private sitting area. The primary bedroom’s custom upholstered headboard is framed by Tom Dixon brass pendants and complemented by Holly Hunt marble top nightstands. A B&B Italia sofa in the sitting area offers the perfect place to relax and unwind at the end of the day. In the primary bathroom, striking Panda marble is used throughout, with book-matched slabs in the shower creating a dramatic feature wall. Each guest bedroom is designed with its own distinct personality, featuring unique wallpapers that ensure every visit is memorable and thoughtfully considered.
